I never set out to become a therapist, but looking back, every step of my journey led me here. I’ve had a wide-ranging career—working as a flight attendant, an international tour guide, a docent in tourism education, and a classroom teacher. The common thread? Connection. I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories and finding ways to support them.
After raising my own children, I followed a long-standing passion for incorporating therapy animals into my work, supporting neurodivergent kids and those with emotional and behavioral challenges. Through project-based learning (and the help of my incredible therapy dog), I witnessed the power of connection—between people, nature, and animals. That experience illuminated a path for me, ultimately leading to my career in mental health.

At Planting Seeds Recovery, I work with adults facing substance use and behavioral addictions (like gaming, shopping, gambling, and food), as well as codependency, religious or cultural trauma, and intergenerational trauma. I have a deep passion for supporting those navigating major life transitions—whether that’s empty nesting, retirement, divorce, or simply the question of “what now?” In a world that often overlooks the complexities of aging, I provide a space where clients can explore their evolving identities with curiosity, self-compassion, and renewed purpose.

My approach is collaborative, warm, and rooted in the belief that no one is broken. I use Internal Family Systems (“parts work”) and Mindful Self-Compassion to help clients develop awareness of their internal worlds, strengthening their relationships with themselves in ways that foster healing and resilience. Therapy isn’t just about processing struggles—it’s also about rediscovering joy, laughter, and the parts of yourself that may have been left behind along the way.

I also love bringing in experiential approaches—whether that means working with animals, engaging in nature, or finding creative ways to translate insight into lived experience. I’ve worked with therapy animals for over 25 years and have seen firsthand how these connections can spark transformation.

Clients often tell me they feel truly seen and valued in our work together. They gain clarity, a sense of hope, and the tools to make meaningful choices that align with their values and strengths. If you’re feeling stuck or ready for change, I’d love to walk alongside you on this journey.

I look forward to meeting you!
